Our Commitments

Whether you are enjoying a bottle of Villiera, Neethlingshof, or Hill&Dale wine, you are supporting a shared commitment to environmental conservation, community upliftment, and best international production standards across our Stellenbosch estates.

At Iwayini, we are committed to meeting the highest standards of food safety, sustainability, and ethical compliance across our operations. Our certifications reflect a deep respect for the land, our people, and the communities we serve. From rigorous food safety protocols to sustainable farming practices and fair labour standards, we uphold transparency and accountability at every level of production.

Environmental Conservation

Preserving indigenous biodiversity, protecting vital water catchments, and minimizing our environmental footprint across the Western Cape winelands.

Villiera Game Drives

Villiera Wildlife Sanctuary

Iwayini co-funds and maintains the 230-hectare Villiera Wildlife Sanctuary. This joint investment covers the operational costs for managing its 12 dams and marshlands, sustaining diverse indigenous wildlife populations (including giraffe, zebra, eland, and kudu) while supporting an ongoing reforestation initiative that has planted over 100,000 trees.

Bottelary Hills Conservancy member

Bottelary Hills Conservancy

With estate locations situated across the Bottelary Hills sub-region, Iwayini provides active operational support from both flanks. We allocate dedicated budgets to eradicate alien invasive vegetation, preserve critically endangered Renosterveld fynbos, and maintain the MTB trail networks that generate community funds for regional conservation.
WWF Conservation Champion

WWF Conservation Champions

Under Iwayini’s stewardship, Neethlingshof holds official status as a WWF Conservation Champion; an elite recognition for environmental leadership in the South African wine industry. Iwayini provides the capital required to meet these rigorous standards, funding precision drip irrigation, 100% cellar water recycling, and ongoing biodiversity tracking.

Old Vine Project

Old Vine Project

Across our Stellenbosch vineyards, we protect and nurture Certified Heritage Vines; vines 35 years and older that produce wines of exceptional depth while safeguarding South Africa’s viticultural history for future generations.

Carbon Heroes

Carbon Heroes

Iwayini actively measures and reduces its carbon footprint through extensive solar installations, zero-cultivation soil practices, electric farm vehicles, and over 100,000 indigenous trees planted.

Community and Social Upliftment

Empowering farmworkers, supporting families, and investing in the future of our wineland communities.

Pebbles Project

The Pebbles Project

Physically based at Villiera, The Pebbles Project is a prominent NGO delivering education, health, and nutrition programs to children in local agricultural communities. Iwayini provides critical institutional backing, infrastructure, and direct CSR funding to support the NGO’s facilities and operations on the estate.

Anna Foundation

The Anna Foundation

Through Neethlingshof’s social development budget, Iwayini partners directly with The Anna Foundation to implement their “3 Rs” program (Reading, Running, Right-ing). Funding goes directly toward after-school education, sports infrastructure, and life-skills training hosted on the estate for rural youth.

Certifications and Audited Compliance

Our passion for sustainability is backed by independent, third-party audits. Every bottle produced by Iwayini complies with strict national and international standards for food safety, ethical trade, and environmental management.
